Teacher Terms and Conditions

CONDUCTING TUTORIAL SESSIONS

  • I agree that I will be fully prepared for conducting online tutoring sessions for registered HKLMS students.
  • I agree that the number of lessons I can conduct per day shall be based on thr open teaching schedule I provide to HKLMS from which students can book a time slot. The open schedule can be offered as early as three months prior to a tutoring date.
  • I agree that I cannot cancel a scheduled lesson once it is booked, without a penalty.
  • I agree that I have to ensure that the lesson is not disrupted. If a lesson is disconnected for more than 10 minutes, there will be a penalty.

TEACHER EVALUATION

  • I agree to be subject to a Teacher Evaluation by HKLMS students and HKLMS personnel. I understand HKLMS reserves the right to terminate my services unilaterally should I consistently be rated poorly.
  • I agree to have my lessons monitored and recorded for the purpose of maintaining good teaching quality standards.
  • HKLMS will provide online training for the teachers to be equipped with the appropriate skills and techniques used in conducting online lessons.
  • HKLMS will conduct regular standard lesson checks to ensure that the HKLMS teaching standards are met

RESCHEDULING

  • I agree that more than 48 hours before the lesson start time and within 48 hours of the lesson start time: Rescheduling of confirmed lessons is only possible if both the student and the teacher agree.

CANCELLED & MISSED CLASSES

  • I agree to always be punctual for my scheduled classes. I agree that if I am 5 minutes late for my class, I will be considered absent and a penalty will be incurred.
  • I agree that I will cancel the lesson 48 hrs before the booked class if needed
  • I agree to the following HKLMS guidelines on cancellation of & missed classes:
    1. If I cancel a booked Private/Group/Free Trial class, I agree that there will be a penalty regardless of:
      1. the number of days or hours I cancelled the booked class
      2. the reason I cancelled the booked class
    2. If I cancel an unbooked Private/Group availability, there will be no penalty from HKLMS.
    3. If I miss a booked Private/Group/Free Trial class, I agree that penalty may be incurred regardless of:
      1. the reason I missed the booked class
    4. If a student cancels a booked class with me within 48 hours before the scheduled
      class, I will be compensated for that class.
    5. If a student cancels a booked class with me more than 48 hours before the scheduled class, I will not be compensated for that class.

ACCOUNT SUSPENSION

Upon reaching 3 missed classes with HKLMS, my HKLMS account will be locked to
prevent further missed lessons and all of my remaining booked classes may be transferred to other teachers. I will be paid based on the number of classes I serviced before my
suspension date. I agree to the account suspension protocol below:

  1. 1st suspension – My account will be unlocked 1 week after the suspension date.
  2. 2nd suspension – My account will be unlocked 1 month after the suspension date.
  3. 3rd suspension – My account will be deactivated and my online tutoring agreement will automatically be cancelled.

PAYMENT

You will receive your funds end of the month, after HKLMS begins processing the withdrawal requests.
